I received a request through the blog the other day for this 1970 album, and thought it was a good one up add up here. As far as my quick searching can determine it is now out of print.
I don't really have much to say about this album other than I don't like it. I've been criticised before by readers for having such a narrow taste in music, but sadly I can't/won't change that. Nevertheless you'll find the Green God on here, although as many of you would undoubtedly be aware, Green was past his prime by 1970.
If there was ever a reason for marijuana use then trying to listen to some of the music in the the sixties and early seventies is possibly it. I can imagine someone sitting back in the day smoking a joint and saying "I really dig this, man" or whatever stoned hippies used to say in the day, perhaps "Hey man that Greeny's a crazy cat?"
I mean correct me if I'm wrong but the above album cover looks like hippie heaven. Is the red-headed chick on the right topless? Sheesh...
Those of you who are PG fans will undoubtedly enjoy his guitar playing but there is little else to recommend it.
I guess I'm supposed to sell the joys of these albums to you so that you get all excited and download them. Sorry...
