Lindsey Buckingham - Bootleg version of Gift of Screws

Now before I tell you about this album I'd like to point out that I don't generally post bootlegs on this blog. This will actually be the first time, but as you know, there is a first time for everything.

Back in the days before Fleetwood Mac released Say You Will, and before Lindsey did eventually release his solo album "Gift of Screws" there was this bootleg floating around cyberspace. There are many versions of this bootleg and this is just one of them.

Many of the songs on this bootleg were destined for Lindsey's solo album which eventually morphed into the FM album "Say You Will". There are a lot of Lindsey fans that will tell you these songs sound much better without the witchy wailing of Ms Nicks added to them.

I downloaded this album off a site some years ago, and promptly forgot about it. A few weeks back someone was asking for it on The Ledge, and I remembered that I had it stored on my computer and passed it along. Through further discussions with other members on the Ledge, other songs were provided by other Ledgies, and I eventually worked out that my version was missing two songs (that I had deleted when they wouldn't fit on a CD) and had to go and find them again.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I've added those tracks on this upload. The first 22 tracks are as I found it, and I have added on Peacekeeper (provided by LukeA) and two My Little Demon versions (provided by Shackin'up).

As these were posted up on the Ledge only a short while ago, a lot of Ledgies coming here might already have this album. However, for those who don't here it is...

Oh, and hello to all of my fellow Ledgies who have popped in for a visit. Thanks to Ricohv for posting a link that has sent lots of visitors this way in the past few days.
